If you love a vibrant nightlife scene then you’ll want to visit some of the best nightclubs in Marrakech.

See, a lot of people assume that since Marrakech is in a Muslim country, there won’t be a vibrant nightlife scene. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

In fact, nightlife in Marrakech consists of world-class clubs that serve amazing drinks and feature over-the-top performances. Seriously, these spectacles are unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

Yeah, that’s saying something since I’m originally from NYC and have seen A LOT of sh*t in my day.

However, I currently live in Morocco and have been here since January of 2023. I have also lived in Marrakech on and off and know all about the best clubs in Marrakech.

Let’s just say that I spent my first week in Marrakech at a hostel and definitely went out more than I should have. However, that also means that I am more than qualified to give you a run down of the top clubs in Marrakech.

This way you you won’t have to worry about where to go in Marrakech at night and can just hop from one club to the next.

1. Theatro Marrakech

Easily the most famous nightclub in Marrakech, Theatro has been hailed as the best club in Africa since 2003. It’s also well-located near the Medina in one of the best areas to stay in Marrakech if you like clubbing.

So, you won’t have to worry about traveling between Gueliz and the Medina (where you’ll find epic Marrakech hostels) late at night and being safe in Marrakech.

What has really made Theatro an integral part of the Marrakech nightlife scene is its opulent decor and unique architecture.

Add in a series of spectacular shows that include skilled entertainers, amazing sound, and world-class pyrotechnics and you have a night to remember in Marrakech.

In fact, this place is so amazing that Joséphine Baker, Leonardo DiCaprio, the Rolling Stones, and Charles Aznavour have all been here.

Real talk? I feel like this place is too popular for its own good. The decor and ambiance are amazing, but it’s PACKED. Like you have very little space to dance. They also play very commercial music since they want to appeal to everyone.

The bar is also understaffed. So, you could wait upwards of twenty minutes for a drink. Definitely give it a try but maybe opt for a table of you want a better experience.

I know when I was here we paid 2000 Dirhams ($200) for a table with champagne. We also had to wait until 3:00 am for the live show. It was good but I was definitely tired.

2. Secret Room Marrakech

Secret Room in Marrakech is an excellent place for a fun night out in Marrakech. The music is nice, the crowd is fun, the Shisha is good, and the performers are awesome.

Yes, it is a bit expensive since you have to pay 200/300 Dirhams ($20.00/$30.00) to get in. However, if you opt for a table then you’ll get a bottle as well as three large drinks for 1700 Dirhams ($170.00).

So, might be worth it to opt for a table rather than paying for admission, especially with a larger group.

You can also ask to see the inside of the club before you enter. My friend did this and it’s a great way to avoid wasting money on a lame AF nightclub in Marrakech.

However, I have heard that the quality of this club has changed recently, My friend told me that the drinks are not great and taste super watered down.

So, if you visit, definitely go for a non-mixed drink like beer or champagne. Yes, the decor is fantastic. However, you can only sit near the dance floor if you’re smoking Shisha or order a bottle. So, another reason to get a table.

On the plus side, they host a wide variety of cool events that range from special performances from local DJs to cool music nights centered around electro music.

Local Tip: Every Thurday night is Ladies’ Night. So, stop by and enjoy free admission as well as one free bottle for every group of four women. Yup, that makes this one of the best free things to do in Marrakech for ladies.

3. Es Saadi Casino & Epicurien

This is one of the best nightclubs in Marrakech that is perfect for anyone who likes gambling. First of all, this casino is located right next door to Theatro.

So, you could easily hit up both nightlife spots at the same time. Secondly,. you can start the evening at the casino’s slot machines and then head to the back of the building to the club/restaurant.

It’s known as Epicurien and typically has two DJs as well as dancers and a live band that plays from Wednesday through Sunday. So, regardless of the music that you’re into, this place has you covered.

The decor is also stunning and has a red-hue that is complimented by gold accents and giant murals surrounded by white curtains.

The downside is that it’s crowded. So, the tables are packed together and that makes it difficult to get to the bar. The sangria and cocktails are also a bit too sweet for me. So, I prefer to order wine, beer, and shots.

4. 555 Famous Club

Contrary to what many people think, Marrakech is famous for its vibrant nightlife and is one of the best party cities in the country.

In particular, Club 555 stands out as one of the best nightclubs in Marrakech since it regularly attracts international DJs and artists like Akon, Tyga, French Montana, and Snoop Dogg.

As a result, events held at Club 555 are some of the most popular in the city. Other highlights include solid deals on drinks, fun themed nights, and cool special guests.

I haven’t been here in a minute but the last time I visited there were lots of people and the staff were very friendly. The music was also great and it was an all-around fun night out.

The prices were also fairly reasonable since it was about $55.00 per person for a table that included two bottles. Just know that some of the tables are a bit far away from the dance floor.

5. La Casa Restaurant and Lounge

Part restaurant, part club, and part bar in Marrakech, La Casa is well-located near all of the major clubs in Gueliz area.

So, it is a great place to go at the start of the night since they have a lovely outdoor restaurant where you can sit and relax before the party starts.

The last time I stopped by I ordered the poke bowl. The Tuna, avocado, and mango were all great but the rice was definitely dry.

All in all though, this place is affordable, the staff is friendly, the decor is lovely, and the music is great. However, staff can be a bit pushy in requesting a review when you leave.

6. Babouchka

The first thing I noticed about this club in Marrakech was the fun red-inspired decor. You’ll see these cool chandeliers with small red lampshades hanging from the ceiling.

They also have tons of chic red couches that are comfy and perfect for relaxing after dancing the night away.

But you’re not here to relax. You’re here to experience some of the best nightlife in Marrakech, which is exactly what you’ll get as you dance the night away until early morning.

The best part? This cool nightclub in Marrakech is well-located near the Medina. So, no late night taxi rides back to your hotel.

It also hosts a wide variety of events that you may want to check out from Thursday through Sunday. Just be aware that the music is very EDM. So, if you’re not into that sort of thing then skip this club in Marrakech.

Additionally, they sometimes ask for tips at the door. Staff also sometimes give Muslims an attitude for drinking alcohol in Marrakech there.

7. So Lounge

I know So Lounge because they also have another location that is one of the best nightlife spots in Essaouira.

However, the Marrakech outpost has an unparalleled atmosphere and is a great place to go if you want to enjoy delicious food and drinks with friends.

After all, their stunning terrace is adorned with vibrant colors and tucked away beneath a forest of palm trees, allowing guests to soak up Marrakech’s lively atmosphere.

It’s a place that also features some of the city’s most spectacular dinner shows. So, if you’re not really looking to party and just want to see a show then this place is a great option.

However, the live DJs are awesome and the food is pretty good. I got the Thai Chicken curry and thought it was full of flavor. The portion was a bit small and it was a bit over-priced, as was the Shisha.

Overall, though, this is still a great place to go if you’re looking for a more chill night out in Marrakech and are staying at one of the cheapest riads in Marrakech.

8. Montecristo

Montecristo is one of the most popular clubs in Marrakech. That’s because it features four distinct areas that are uniquely designed to suit the needs of everyone in your group.

So, if you want to sip on a craft cocktail and listen to live music then head to Sinatra’s Bar. Or, if you feel like dancing the night away while listening to the top 40 then head to Montecristo’s nightclub instead.

But my fave part? Montecristo has a nice on-site restaurant in Marrakech and skybar too.

So, if you stop by earlier in the evening then you can try some Moroccan, French, and Mediterranean cuisine before smoking some Shisha and watching belly dancers strut their stuff.

The decor is also funky and modern with these cool yellow chairs and vibrant neon pink lights that illuminate the surrounding greenery.

The last time I stopped by the band behind the bar was great, as was the service. I also had the spring rolls and they were way better than I expected. I just hate that everyone here basically demands a tip.

However, this place is well-suited for a slightly older clientele, aka not teenagers. So, that makes me really happy.

9. W Club

I honestly never thought I would find a nightclub in the mall, but here we are. Anyway, don’t let that fact deter you because this chic and stylish club offers top-notch performances that are enhanced by an excellent sound system.

There’s also a very large dance floor where some of the biggest DJs perform. You should also have no problems ordering drinks since the bar is huge and filled with solid staff.

This is a popular club in Marrakech, so you will have to make a reservation, which might have to be early in the evening.
