No, you won’t be embarking on a two-hour camel ride through the desert. But, you will get a taste of local culture and enjoy delicious food while exploring the Agafay Desert via a camel ride and quad bike ride.

You’ll even get to stop at a local Argan Oil Women’s Cooperative and see how they make various traditional products by hand. TBH, this experience is included in basically every tour in Morocco.

But, it is a great place to get souvenirs from Morocco and cool items from Marrakech since you know that everything they sell is real and of the highest quality. Sadly, the same can’t be said for some of what you’ll find in the souks of Marrakech.

Overall, this is a great camel tour if you want to enjoy a lot of cool things to do in Marrakech in a short amount of time. Omar is also a great guide and goes out of his way to make sure that the trip is a TON of fun.

Local Tip: Remember to exchange some cash in Morocco before you do a tour since some companies do not accept cards. Otherwise, it’s a fun birthday activity in Marrakech.

Per usual, you’ll get picked up and dropped off directly from your hotel. You’ll also experience an incredible evening in the Agafay Desert that starts off with, you guessed it, a visit to a local Argan Oil Cooperative.

“Omar Bardy was an excellent guide. At first we made a stop to see how argan oil is made and they offered us tea. Then we went for a ride with the camels and they took great photos, the experience was unique. After we drank a cup of tea there, we were taken to the camp where we would eat. The food is quite nice and the service is very good. We had a party and danced with the locals and then saw a fire show. Everything was fantastic and especially for the cut it deserves for sure!!”

Watch the sunset in the background before arriving at a desert camp to enjoy Moroccan tea, pastries, and other traditional Moroccan foods as you sit down to dinner inside a Berber camp.

Menu highlights include harira, salad, beef/chicken tajine, and seasonal fruits that are all freshly prepared for you by local chefs. FYI, the food is actually really good. So much so that I actually asked for seconds.

Finally, listen to live music and enjoy a fire show before hopping in a van and returning to your hotel.

Honestly, this is another great option if you’re not into quad biking but want to do something other than camel riding. I also LOVED the pictures that the guides took of me. They did a great job.

It’s also nice because this tour is part camel ride and part Marrakech food tour, which I personally love.

# 1 🏆 Pick for the Best Camel Tour in Marrakech

The best camel ride in Marrakech is this Agafay Desert Quad & Camel Ride with a Dinner Show. 🏆 You get great food, live entertainment, a nice camel ride, and you get to go quad biking. What more could you ask for💰?

Conclusion

I hope you found this guide useful and now know exactly which camel tour is right for you. I opt for tours that include a wealth of different experiences. This way I can do a lot of different things in a short amount of time.

However, if you really just want to ride a camel then there are options for you. Just know when your tour will start (i.e. day time or sunset tour) and plan accordingly since there isn’t a lot of shade in the desert.

Yeah, it can get really hot and the sun can be very intense during the day. So, pack some water, lots of sunscreen, and a hat to help keep you cool.

You may also want to pack a scarf to cover your face. This way sand won’t blow into your mouth and up your nose during your camel ride.
