Best Yoga in Marrakech: What You Need to Know in 2024

Looking for the best yoga in Marrakech? I feel you. Marrakech can be a SUPER chaotic city. So, taking some epic yoga classes is a great way to relax, refocus, and recenter yourself after a crazy couple of days of sightseeing.

But, if you’re new in town, where can you find the best yoga studios in Marrakech? You know, supremely awesome spots are known for having the best yoga classes in Marrakech?

Well, you’re in luck. I have lived on and off in Marrakech since January of 2023. I also LOVE yoga since it forces me to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with my body.

TBH, I am super inflexible and am absolutely TERRIBLE at yoga. However, I enjoy it because it has such a calming effect on me and it is just so great for my body.

Therefore, I know all about some of the best places to practice yoga in Marrakech. I have been to some of these studios many times and I like them for a couple of reasons.

They offer great classes, have lovely instructors that help you with the poses, are well-priced, and have a warm and welcoming environment.

That last one is a biggie for me since I HATE clicky studios where everyone sticks to their friend group and isn’t super welcoming/friendly.

I like a studio with a more communal atmosphere and where I can meet a lot of awesome, like-minded people.

It also doesn’t hurt that A LOT of these yoga studios in Marrakech have super well-priced classes, at least when compared with some of the studios in the US.

So, you could easily pay 150 Dirhams ($15.00) for an hour-long class and I think that is pretty reasonable.

So, let’s have a look at where to find the best yoga in Marrakech, Morocco. I’ll reveal my insider picks and tell you where to go to practice yoga in Marrakech.

Best Yoga in Marrakech, Morocco

1. Dar Anis Yoga Studio

A woman wearing black sitting on a green mat with her hands behind her back. She hasd long borwn hair and is sitting in a yoga studio with white walls. She is enjoying the best yoga in Essaouira Morocco.

Run by Stéphanie BENETIERE, a French woman in Marrakech who has been practicing yoga for 20+ years, Dar Anis Yoga Studio (aka Yoga Marrakech) offers Flow Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, and Soundmoves Yoga.

I think the last one is my fave since movements are simple and you time your breathing with the beat of the music.

Anyway, I love this yoga studio in Marrakech because you can enjoy classes outside. After all, the studio sits inside a historic riad in Marrakech that doubles as the owner’s home – giving the studio a more warm and welcoming vibe.

So, you can take classes on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in this amazing outdoor courtyard with these beautiful Moroccan tiles on the ground.

The studio is also really easy to find since it is right across the street from Bacha Palace. Yup, no need to grab a taxi because this studio literally sits right in the heart of the Medina.

Finally, Classes are well-priced at 220 Dirhams ($22.00) for a drop-in class or 1650 Dirhams ($165.00) for a 10-class pass that is valid for 3 months.

Overall, this is a very warm and welcoming studio with a great on-site cafe in Marrakech that you can check out after your 75-minute class. Also, say hi to their lovely cat for me.

Local Tip: They also offer individual, half-day wellness/yoga retreats in Marrakech. You’ll enjoy a yoga class in Marrakech, a nice vegan meal, and a one-hour massage for just 1000 Dirhams ($100.00).

2. Om Yoga Marrakech

The nice thing about Om Yoga is that they have outposts all across Morocco. So, if you need a quick yoga fix then feel free to stop by any of their yoga studios in Dahkla, Casablanca, or, DUH, Marrakech.

Their studio in Marrakech is pretty opulent and sits inside the stunning, Movenpick Hotel. Therefore, the space is large with vast wooden floors, arched white walls along the perimeter, and a lovely central fountain.

Because this studio is part of a larger company, a wide variety of classes are on offer, including Bikram and Hot Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, Ashtanga, Yin Yoga, and Aerial Yoga/Bungee.

Another bonus is that classes are offered in both French and English, with options available for yogis of all different skill levels.

Personally, I feel like this place isn’t as warm and welcoming as some other studios on this list. To me it has a more corporate feel that is not really my jam.

However, you do have a TON of classes to choose from. Basically, as many as four classes are available daily and they are designed with beginner, intermediate, and advanced yogis in mind.

There are also a ton of packages to choose from. So, you can do a drop-in class for 250 Dirhams ($25.00) or a package of 20 classes for 3000 Dirhams ($300.00 and valid for 4 months).

You could even spend the day at the hotel and pair your class with pool access for 350 Dirhams ($35.00).

Overall, if you value a wide variety of classes, or are simply looking for a specific type of class, then this yoga studio in Marrakech is a great choice – especially if you want to practice yoga within MEGA opulent surroundings.

3. Bloom House

Real talk? I love coming here for brunch in Marrakech since the Shakshuka and banana bread are both hella awesome.

Brunch is also available all day long AND they serve a ton of amazing vegan food in Marrakech as well as gluten-free food in Marrakech.

Seriously, stop by now to enjoy some of the best vegan and gluten-free food in Morocco.

Added bonus? The on-site cafe has stunning decor that includes cushioned, banquet seating surrounded by potted plants that sit inside an expansive dining room with giant ceilings and a glass roof that lets in tons of ambient light.

All this and we haven’t even discussed the ACTUAL yoga studio. Sorry, but I just love the cafe so much that I just HAD to discuss it.

Anyway, I love coming here for yoga classes in Marrakech since I am usually here for brunch anyway. First of all, the studio has a very cosmopolitan, New York feel to it.

So, very modern with dark wood floors and large windows that overlook the cafe. The last time I was here I did the Booty Class and it was a great workout.

However, the studio is narrow so it can be difficult to see the instructor if you are in the back. But, they have a nice class schedule that includes Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin/Restorative Yoga.

You can also do other non-yoga classes like Swiss Ball and Pilates if you are looking for more of a hardcore workout.

Just do yourself a favor and call first. Not sure if they are on summer break but the class schedule seems a bit empty the last time I was on their website.

4. Hope Arts Studio

This place is pretty unique in that Hope Arts Studio offers a wide variety of classes including Qigong, Oriental Dance, and yoga. So, if you’re looking for unique things to do in Marrakech, this place is for you.

Heck, they even sell cool aromatherapy candles that you can take home with you if you don’t know what to buy in Marrakech.

Anyway, these yoga classes in Marrakech are designed for women and women only. They are also suitable for yogis of all skill levels and for anyone who wants to try Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, and Yin yoga.

So, step into a Bohemian-style yoga studio with large windows, hardwood floors, and colorful yoga mats that are perfectly complemented by hippie-chic decor.

This aesthetic creates a soothing atmosphere that is crucial to maintaining the tranquility of the small classes held here.

Additionally, small class sizes mean more individual attention from Kenza, who is a great instructor that speaks in both French and English. Kenza also adapts lessons to the energy and skill level of the class.

When coming here, I like that there is a focus on the individual. This way they can do poses correctly and have the best experience possible.

Additionally, Kenza is super supportive and is happy to answer questions any questions that you might have.

5. Riad BE Marrakech: The Flow Yoga Studio

Woman sitting in a red tank top with her head and arms bent so her arms are around the heels of her feet. She sits on a red yoga mat in a yoga studio that is home to the best yoga in Marrakech Morocco.

Not only is Riad BE one of the best riads in Marrakech with a pool, but it is one of the best yoga studios in the city too.

Yup, this super Instagrammable riad in Marrakech really does have a full-on yoga studio. So, stop by The Flow Yoga Studio and reconnect your mind, body, and spirit in one amazing place.

Just be aware that their class schedule is a bit limited since they only offer a one-hour Vinyasa Flow class for 250 Dirhams ($25.00) on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

However, you do have the option of booking an on-demand pilates class or a private yoga class as well. You could also sign up for a fun, 3 to 5-day yoga retreat and indulge in a yoga-centric vacation during your 3 days in Marrakech.

Overall, I do like this studio and Imane was a nice instructor. I liked the little patio where you got to practice since it was outside and featured potted plants in the background.

I just felt a bit cramped during my class and though the price was a bit high for Morocco.

6. JNANIN Yoga Studio

JNANIN Yoga Studio is a quiet little studio that is about a 20-minute walk from the center of Gueliz.

It is run by Moroccan yogi, Ourada, who strives to create a warm and inviting environment where everyone can work on yoga, regardless of age and experience.

Classes are offered four times a day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and include Hatha Yoga, Chair Yoga, Dynamic Flow, etc.

Honestly, Ourada is just a great instructor. She really cares about her students and adapts the classes to meet everyone’s needs. She listens to you and creates a personalized experience that enhances your yoga practice.

So, start your journey toward inner peace and check out this amazing yoga studio in Marrakech. Sure, this place is nothing fancy in terms of decor. However, the kindness, love, and humanity of the instructor outshines everything else.

7. Elisa Cocquet Yoga

Women in bras and shorts bent over on green mats during a yoga class in Marrakech.

Elisa is a wonderful private yoga instructor who has thousands of hours of training in Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Liquid Flow Yoga.

Sadly, she does not have her own yoga center. However, you can work with her at local yoga studios, riads, events, and online if you are looking for an intro or intermediate-level course.

Therefore, booking a session with Elisa Cocquet Yoga is a great option if you want to do a yoga class but don’t want to leave your hotel room.

Generally, online classes are limited to around six people. This way Elisa can see everyone and make suggestions to help you position yourself correctly.

These sessions also work on a donation basis, with the suggested price being between 90 and 120 Dirhams ($9.00 and $12.00) per person.

I have done one of her yoga classes in Marrakech and find Elisa to be an awesome teacher. She has a lot of knowledge and creates a caring atmosphere that adapts to meet the needs of her students.

Her classes are challenging but also gentle. It was a pleasure to work with her due to her kindness, warmth, and professional attitude and I cannot wait to work with her again.

Conclusion

If I had to pick my all-time FAVORITE place to do yoga in Marrakech it would be Dar Anis Yoga Studio. I just love doing poses inside that beautiful outdoor courtyard.

Stephanie is also just a beautiful soul and a wonderful teacher. Therefore, I never tire of her sessions and always love chilling at the on-site cafe after an amazing class.

However, all of the studios/people listed here are awesome and will help you to enjoy an amazing yoga class in Marrakech.
